Operation Airport Style makeover at the airport

Operation Airport Style makeover at the airport

Special edition - Club Airport Premier Makeover

A look here and now

On the occasion of the Cannes Festival, Nice Côte d'Azur Airport decided to thank its frequent passenger club members by offering two of them the chance to win a makeover worth €1,000 within its shops.

Alain, Club Airport Premier member since 2005, and Géraldine, Club Airport Premier member since 2014, were chosen for this special experience on 14th May. For one day, Géraldine took to the shops in Terminal 1 and Alain did the same in Terminal 2, accompanied by two stylists who advised them throughout their shopping.

We met up with them and they told us all about their experience.

Interview - Alain Occelli

Can you tell us about your CAP membership experience? What are your habits when you come to the airport?

I’ve been a CAP member for some time now and I really value the fast-track queue during check-in. I fly from Nice around 45 times during the year and I’ve been doing this for nearly 16 years, so this is very valuable. I find that the latest names in terms of restaurants and takeaway outlets bring a new dynamic to the airport.

What is your daily clothing style?

Simple, elegant but casual. Which I believe in your language corresponds to “Smart Casual”.

What clothing style did you want for this makeover?

To still have a Smart Casual style, but with new items.

Can you show us the items you have chosen?

  • A mid-season teddy/bomber style zipped black leather jacket from The Kooples
  • A white cotton polo shirt with stand-up collar from The Kooples
  • Blue chino trousers from Armani Exchange
  • A pair of white leather trainers from Armani

Out of all the items you have chosen, which is/are your favourite? And why?

The black leather jacket because I didn’t have one.

How would you describe your makeover experience?  Has this changed your perception of Nice Airport?

It was a completely unexpected and rewarding experience. I’m not at all used to this styling exercise, the entire team around me gave really good advice, they understood my expectations and above all, they were very friendly. I will now have very fond memories of this experience.

Interview - Géraldine Suteau

Can you tell us about your CAP membership experience?

When I arrived in the area, I immediately took out my CAP card to benefit from fast-tracking. I then discovered that 10% discount was great for purchasing beauty products or various gifts. Whilst talking to you during the makeover day, I learnt that I could also book parking with the card and earn points.

What are your habits when you come to the airport?

In general, I park in car park P2 or P5, I use the fast-track service and I head for the departure lounge where I have a coffee.

What is your daily clothing style?

I would say business casual in the week (rather classic, dress, shoes, jeans, blouse, jacket) and casual at the weekends (jeans and trainers with a younger look)

What clothing style did you want for this makeover?

By talking to the stylists, I wanted a sophisticated, feminine and casual look.

Can you show us the items you have chosen?

  • A very stylish khaki jacket from Zadig and Voltaire
  • White jeans with studs on the side from Zadig and Voltaire
  • A pale pink sweater with wide sleeves from Zadig and Voltaire
  • Golden shoes from Superga
  • A pair of mirror-effect glasses from Ray-ban

Out of all the items you have chosen, which is/are your favourite? And why?

I would say the jacket is what does it for me, it completes my outfit and adds a really different touch to my usual style.

How would you describe your makeover experience?

An amazing experience. I felt like a princess, with very attentive people and I had a lot of fun! The time flew by and I even had make-up and hair styling advice! A truly timeless experience. I’m very grateful for the time they spent on making it such a wonderful experience.  Has this changed your perception of the airport? Ah yes! I never really looked at the airport as anything other than a departure lounge. There are some really great people working there and interesting shops.
