Travelers' advice

You are returning from China or an area where the virus is actively circulating* (directly or via another country)

During 14 days following your return:

• Monitor your temperature twice a day
• Watch for symptoms reminiscent
of a respiratory infection (cough, breathing difficulties)
• Wear a surgical mask when you are face-to-face with someone and if you must go out
• Wash your hands regularly or use a hydroalcoholic solution
• Avoid contacts with at-risk individuals (pregnant women, people with chronic diseases, and elderly people)
• Avoid places with at-risk individuals (retirement homes, hospitals, and maternity hospitals…)
• Reduce non-essential activities (cinema, restaurants, parties…)

If you must go out, wear a surgical mask:

• Workers/students: if possible, work
from home and avoid close contacts
(meetings, elevators, cafeteria…)
• Considering it would be difficult to
have children wear a surgical mask at all times, they must not be sent to day care
or to school
In case of fever or feverishness, cough, breathing difficulties within 14 days following your return:
• Contact the SAMU immediately (French emergency medical services – dial 15),
and mention your history of travel
• Avoid any contact with your relatives, and keep your mask on
• Do not go directly to your GP’s or to the hospital
