    You will arrive at Ibiza Es Codolar Airport, barely 6 kilometres from Ibiza Town. To get to the centre, you have several options:

    • The bus: take Route 10. One departure every 20 minutes, from 6 in the morning to midnight, for the town centre and the port. Remember that two other buses leave from the airport: Route 24 goes to Santa Eulària and Cala Nova, and Route 9 goes to Sant Antoni, via Sant Josep.
    • A taxi: the fare will be 10 to 40 euros, depending on your destination on the island.
    • A hire car: there are seven car rental companies in the arrivals hall at the terminal. This is a convenient option if you plan to explore the whole island, from Sant Antoni to Portinatx.

    • Stroll through the streets of Dalt Vila, old Ibiza, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Behind its defensive walls lie narrow, sloping, cobbled pedestrian streets, quaint squares and shady terraces.
    • Spread out your towel on one of the island’s best beaches: Cala Salada, Las Salinas, Platja d’en Bossa, Benirrás… Pale sand, an unspoilt cove, crystalline water: a dream come true!
    • Party hard at DC10, Ushuaïa or Bora Bora, or hop aboard a party boat with hundreds of revellers, big sounds and a few bathing stops.
    • Unwind and watch an unforgettable sunset. The famous Cafe del Mar, in Sant Antoni de Portmany, offers a laid-back atmosphere. For an unspoilt, natural backdrop, head to Cala d’Hort beach, opposite Es Vedrà island.
    • Dance until dawn in one of the countless clubs offered by the uncontested queen of the night. Don’t miss: Pacha, Amnesia, Hï, Space or Privilege which has a capacity of up to 10,000 people.
    • Set sail for Formentera, the other major island of the Pityuses. Lighthouses, windmills, stunning beaches: explore by car, motorbike or bike.
    • Spread peace and love by shopping at a Hippy Market. For the Wednesday market, head to Punta Arabí in Es Canar. Alternatively, on a Saturday, go to the Las Dalias market in Sant Carles (night markets in summer, from Sunday to Tuesday).
    • Have a tree-top adventure with the kids at Acrobosc or visit Aguamar water park.
    • Conquer Sa Talaiassa, the highest peak on the island, with an altitude of 393 metres. It’s a beautiful hike, rewarded by a magnificent view, but best done in cool temperatures.
    • Journey to the centre of the Earth. Well, almost! With its stalactites, stalagmites, columns and waterfalls, Can Marçà underground cave (near to Puerto de San Miguel) is a great experience for all ages.
