    Arriving in Porto

The Porto Francisco Sa Carneiro Airport is considered one of the best in Europe. And the fact that it’s easy to access definitely plays a role. Situated at around 10 km from the city centre, you have the following choices for getting there:

    • The underground: from 6 am to 1 am, line E will take you to the city in around 40 minutes maximum.
    • The bus: a shuttle service runs from 4:45 am to 12:35 am. Just two stops (Boavista and Aliados) mean the trip takes less than 30 minutes. Three city bus lines also connect to the airport: 601, 602, and 604. The fastest is the first, which will take you to Cordoaria in the heart of the historical centre in just 45 minutes.
    • A taxi: you can book in advance, and the trip costs €20 to €25. Be sure to only use a certified company. They're more trustworthy!
    • Hire a car: six agencies have counters inside the airport.
