From 26 June to 4 September, Great Dane Airlines will operate a weekly flight between Aalborg, Denmark, and Nice Côte d’Azur airport. It will become the 60th airline operating flights to or from Nice Côte d’Azur airport this summer.

The inhabitants of the Riviera will be able to fly to Denmark, and the Danes will be able to visit the Riviera all summer long. Only recently created, Great Dane Airlines has chosen Nice as one of its first destinations, and will operate one flight every Wednesday onboard a Embraer 195, offering a total of 118 seats per week.

The arrival of this new airline heralds another step upwards in the development of Nice Côte d’Azur airport. Great Dane will become the 60th airline operating flights into or out of Nice Côte d’Azur, further extending the airport’s international network. This new weekly connection reflects the vitality and the appeal of the French Riviera for the Scandinavian countries, which represent the third-largest source of tourists visiting the region.

Nice Côte d’Azur now offers 122 destinations, of which 98 are in 43 foreign countries. With 1,456 weekly flights on this summer’s programme, Nice Côte d’Azur is the only airport outside Paris offering seven long-haul connections and one daily round-trip by an A380.
